The thinking behind the work
A relationship, over time.
Our work with Mercy For All brings together conversations about the year ahead and the practical work of staying in touch with supporters. It is an ongoing relationship, shaped around the charity's programmes, team and fundraising priorities.
The work has included partnership planning, the email programme, campaign coordination and reporting. It also involves working alongside the website team on the experience of giving, with responsibilities kept clear.
A considered choice
The communication between appeals matters to the relationship with a supporter.

A programme of communication
Consider the purpose of each message and its place in the supporter relationship.
A shared review
Use reporting to agree what needs attention and who will carry the next work forward.
Give communication a purpose.
An email programme needs a considered reason to contact people, alongside the next appeal. We have worked on the programme and its individual communications, connecting the charity's work to the moments when supporters hear from it.
That involves practical choices about the subject, the message, the route to give and how a communication fits with other activity. Each message belongs to a wider relationship with someone who has already shown an interest in the charity.
Plan, deliver and review together.
Longer-term planning helps those individual pieces make sense. Conversations about the year ahead sit alongside campaign preparation and the work already in progress. The plan needs to reflect the people available to carry it out.
Reporting is part of that working relationship. It gives the team a basis for discussing what has happened, what the evidence supports and what needs attention next. That shared review helps us agree the next priorities and the practical work needed to address them.
This is the steady work behind a public appeal: staying in touch, coordinating across teams and returning to the priorities as circumstances change. It shows how Garden can bring strategic context and practical support into the same relationship.
An ongoing client relationship. Delivered email and reporting work sits alongside planning for future activity. Reviewed 25 September 2026.
